Custom Damage Mechanism Reviews and how DamagePlus™ can Facilitate the Review of Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs)

Thursday, May 17th at 2PM EDT

This webinar will introduce viewers to Damage Mechanism Reviews (DMRs) by explaining how they are created and can be used to further enhance plant or refinery asset integrity management programs. This webinar will describe the process of converting a completed DMR into an Integrity Operating Window (IOW) and/or Corrosion Control Document (CCD) and how it can assist in Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) plan creation. The viewer will be shown how E2G’s DamagePlus™ software can be used to create custom PFDs, display them as part of an owner/user actual unit, and leverage the integration with API 571 to quickly produce information on applicable damage mechanisms.

What You Will Learn:

  • What a DMR is
  • How it is relevant to the IOW/CCD/RBI generation
  • How you can use DamagePlus™ in synergy with a DMR deliverable
  • What the difference is between systemization and circuitization
  • E2G’s Custom PFD feature overview
  • Software demo

Who Should Attend:

  • Inspectors
  • Plant Managers
  • Unit Process Engineers
  • Reliability Engineers
  • Personnel involved with PHA meetings

About the Presenters:

Paul KowalskiPaul Kowalski joined E2G | The Equity Engineering Group, Inc. in 2017 as a Materials and Corrosion Engineer, where his work includes Damage Mechanism reviews, Metallurgical testing/analysis, HTHA assessments, and Unit HTHA reviews, among other responsibilities. Before joining E2G, Mr. Kowalski worked as a Materials and Corrosion Engineer for Duramax Marine with focus on the heat exchanger product line. He conducted several failure analyses involving metallurgical testing to determine the root cause of failure and recommended changes to operations to prevent failure in the future. He created experiments and conducted testing to analyze key variables in the brazed joint integrity as it relates to heat input and heat treatment of the base metal. He also performed a corrosion damage mechanism review on the heat exchangers to educate and assist staff on understanding present risks.

E2G offers 1 hour of Professional Development credit to all webinar participants who attend a webinar and complete a subsequent survey that will be emailed to all attendees within a week of the webinar event. Webinar participants who complete the survey will receive a certificate via email detailing the webinar event, subject matter, and presenter(s). This documentation can then be submitted by participants to state engineering boards of their choice. However, this does not imply that those state boards will honor the credit; they are the final authority.
